Biographical Summary:

David MacDonald, D.O. is a family physician and President of Liberty Health Group.  As a former Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army, Residency Director, and physician in private practice, his perspective is from the front lines of health care. While in private practice he co-founded SimpleCare, a revolutionary approach for controlling health care costs that received national media attention from NBC News, PBS, NPR, USA Today, and US News & World Report.  Dr. MacDonald has spoken extensively throughout the United States regarding Consumer Directed Health Care (CDHC). He presented the CDHC model at the 2001 Korean Health Care Summit.  He presents the positive impact that free market forces have on the cost, access, and quality of health care.  Dr. MacDonald’s insights and solutions are based upon practical application of successful models.  His expertise is developing variations of the Consumer Directed Health Care model for each community he visits.  Liberty Health Group tailors solutions to meet the needs of their clients and community served.
